Majestic Commercial is a specialist on-trade and business supplier with the aim to make customers’ wine lists more profitable. Success has been built on fulfilment via the Retail stores, consultative advice from the sales team and award winning wines.
Majestic Commercial began in the basement of our Notting Hill Gate store in 1994, when we spotted an opportunity to sell wines directly to advertising agencies and media companies in London’s West End.
Two years later we focused on servicing the capital’s business sector, opening opportunities with contract caterers, event organisers and the business gifts and sales promotion sectors.
Naturally the next step was to establish a relevant on-trade proposition. Twenty years on, the Majestic Commercial team numbers over 50 and covers all of mainland UK.
Wine is at the heart of our offer, but our people are undoubtedly our greatest asset. We pride ourselves on the quality, reliability and consistency of our service, delivered with enthusiasm and creativity, as well as detailed product and market knowledge.
Meet our Team
Ben joined Majestic in February 1994 and has over 20 years of experience at Majestic Wine. Ben started his career as a trainee manager in our Islington store and managed the branch in Chalk Farm before joining the B2B team in 1998. After heading up the London Sales team for 10 years Ben became Commercial Director in 2012 and was appointed Managing Director of Majestic Commercial in July 2015
Ian joined Majestic in 2001 on the retail graduate management scheme. After managing stores in South West London he joined the Commercial team in 2007 as Senior Account Manager and then London Sales Manager. After a two year secondment to France as Sales Director in Calais Ian rejoined Commercial in April 2016 as Operations Director.
